The challenges faced by the children at the Foundation of Mercy Children’s Centre are real—pressing, painful, and persistent. Every day, these children confront the harsh reality of poverty, abandonment, and loss. Many arrive at the Centre having endured unimaginable hardship: some have lost both parents to disease, others have been left to care for younger siblings with no adult to guide or protect them. The pain in their eyes tells stories words cannot fully capture.

They face food insecurity, lack of basic education, emotional trauma, and the constant fear of being forgotten. But at the Foundation of Mercy, they begin to find hope—a warm meal, a safe place to sleep, the sound of laughter, and the love of those who care.
